Sorry, I forgot: if you want to use the i2c-interface, you also need
the i2c-source package. These are some additional modules to make
available the i2c-devices. Same procedure as with lm-sensors.

But the isa-interface should work just fine. Ignore the modules with
unresolved symbols - if you don't like the error msg with unresolved
symbols delete these modules from /lib/modules/<kernel-revision/misc
(that's what I did). 

And you don't have to clean/recompile/reboot. :-)
