$ alien mkinitrd-1.8-3.i386.rpm
$ dpkg -x mkinitrd_1.8-4_i386.deb pipo
$ sed -e s:/etc/conf.modules:/etc/modules.conf: pipo/sbin/mkinitrd >mkinitrd
$ rm -r pipo
and there you have it, be carefull, I'm no expert, but to me it looks
as if it could work.
