FWIW, I tried to contact the author with a patch a few months ago and
got no reply.  If it can be verified that he has actually dropped off
the face of the 'net, then I might take over development of some of
his projects.  I've already taken over wmfsm, which uses the same
convenience routines.  In any case, wmmon is basically a complete app
and doesn't need much more development.

$ apt-get source wmmon
$ cd wmmon-1.0b2-3
$ fakeroot debian/rules binary
$ dpkg -i ../wmmon_1.0b2-3.deb

substitute the correct versions in there, but it's quite easy to
rebuild debian packages from source.
