Another thing for you to look at might be Post.Office or InterMail Kx from
software.com

One of the interesting things about these products are that it offloads a
lot of the administration to the users themselves with web based
configuration screens. Users can create new aliases, make auto-responders,
whatever you allow them to do but they do it themselves.
They have a web-mail product that integrates with it called WebEdge.
