My two-cents worth: the default exim config is set up so you don't need to
use a .forward file if you use procmail.
Here's how I have it:
~/.procmailrc:
PATH=$HOME/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin
MAILDIR=$HOME/Mail # you'd better make sure it exists
PMDIR=$HOME/procmail # procmail recipies are here
LOGFILE=$PMDIR/procmail.log # recommended
VERBOSE=yes # for debugging
LOGABSTRACT=all
INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/lists.rc # plug-in recipies start here!
~/procmail/lists.rc:
:0:
* ^Resent-Sender.*debian-user-request@lists.debian.org
debian/
