i have the same problem, although packages seem to configure fine... The
problem (as has been noted) is the / at the end of "/usr/bin/dpkg/". It
seems to be a typo or thinko in the /usr/lib/dpkg/methods/apt/install
file, you just have to remove the / from the "DPKG Dir::Bin::dpkg/" on
line 10. A patch is attached.
