Most debian systems I have seen have all KINDS of problems with dangling
symlinks in the manpage area. This is particularly true if you have been
through a few releases but did not upgrade every pacakge with every
release.
try:
man bogus-program
right after installing a new package and see how many dangling symlinks
you hit.
