Actually, just untar it in your home directory or wherever, it does not
matter because you have to run the "setup" binary included to actually
install the software. It defaults to ~/Office40 but you can change that to
/usr/local/Office40 or whatever you want if you want to make it global.
The version of StarOffice 4.0 (SP 3) that I downloaded for testing just
today was libc5 linked so I hope you have libc5. Good luck.
