nslookup prompt...
Hey all,
I have kind of a strange situation on my home system.
I have named running for my home network and all lookups and queries run just
fine. The odd part is, if I type 'nslookup <address>' it then gives me the ">"
prompt. I will enter the address again and it errors out because the system at
<address> is not running a DNS. Almost like it will not assume my linux box
is where I want to query to...
If I simply type 'nslookup' and hit enter to get the ">" and then type in
<address> my Linux box spits the information I wanted originally. My
resolve.conf has "nameserver 127.0.0.1 <next DNS> <last DNS>".
Why can I not simply type 'nslookup <unknownmachine>' and get back what I
am hunting for?
