It sounds like you're still stuck at the "base" install.  The next step
is to run "dselect" (or "dpkg" if you like doing things on your own) and
upgrade the system.  To do this, you need access to the packages; either
off a CD-ROM, mounted filesystem, NFS, FTP, etc.

Can you run dselect?  Do you have network access?
