[Kernel] Advanced Power Management
I'd like my debian system to take advantage of the power management
functions of my bios (in particular, I'd like it to shut down the monitor
after 20 minutes or so of unuse ... it'd be cool if "halt" could also turn
off the power on my ATX mobo, put that's not as important).
I've heard mention that a kernel recompile was needed for this, so I
looked for it the last time I recompiled my (2.0.29) kernel. <make
menuconfig> didn't seem to have any APM options. Do I need a patch? Was
I just not looking in the right place?
Thanks.
And thanks to those who helped with my <playmidi> problem last night.
