As far as I am aware, you only need to install the 3.1.2D server. I
imagine the reason you want to do this is to get a more stable server
(this is why I use it). For that, you don't need new libraries. If you
want to stay on the bleeding edge in general, you should go fetch the
beta archive from ftp.XFree86.org -- but this shoule not be in debian,
IMNSHO.
