I'll just reinforce this, since I had been under the misimpression
you'd need the entire 3.1.2D in order to just use a new server---which
I need for my Mach64 card. Fortunately this is not the case, so I was
able to take the gymastics I was using to fool the old 3.1.2B server
into working after its expiration out of /etc/init.d/xdm.
