That is in a sense true, my company is currently moving its office and
i'm very busy with getting our new internet connection up as well as
configuring servers and workstations at the new office.
But this is only temporary, i intend to make sure that mailer.local will
work in the future and sendmail 8.7 is due out real soon now.

Nontheless i agree with the comments about using smail instead of
sendmail. For most users smail will do the job adequately while sendmail
will introduce a signifigant amount of complexity. But if smail can't do
it sendmail is there for you, at the expense of requiering more
knowledge. Befor using sendmail i would recomend getting 'the bat book'
from O'Reiley ad assositates (I think it's just called 'sendmail', check
out http://www.ora.com/).

Perhaps as a guaratee that i will continue maintaining sendmail is that
my onw company, an ISP, is relying heaviy on debian and sendmail.
