¿Debian y GNU ?
Hola amigos,
No sé si este es el lugar apropiado, pero al visitar la página
http://www.gnu.org, me he llevado una sorpresa y me han surgido algunas
dudas. Me gustaría por favor me las aclarárais, sin ánimo de montar
ninguna discusión.
En concreto, el tema se encuentra en el link "Obtaining GNU/Linux":

Cuando me dirigí allí, esperaba ver a nuestra querida Debian en primer
plano, pues creo que es de las pocas distros que reconocen en su nonmbre
la labor de GNU. Cual fué mi sorpresa que ni en primero ni en último
plano. Lo primero que encontré fué esta tajante frase:
"To help promote knowledge of free software that isn't GNU software
distributed by the FSF, we have collected the following links to other
web sites that contain free software, or is directly related to the
issue of free software.
We do not have links to web sites of the well-known GNU/Linux system
distributions, or to the well-known BSD system distributions, because
all those sites explicitly describe, and facilitate access to, various
non-free programs. We would be glad to know of other Free Software web
sites that we could link to here. "
Y más adelante, mención a algunas distros de GNU/Linux, entre las cuales
tampoco aparecía Debian.

¿Entiendo entonces que Debian no aparece por tener en sus repositorios
la rama non-free? O estoy yendo demasiado lejos.
Estas cuestiones filosóficas me preocupan bastante, sobre todo después
de enterarme de que Debian no considera la licencia GFDL dentro de las DFSG.
