Sieht so aus als haette dein root keine ordentliche Locale gesetzt. Der
Installer startet nach dem Installieren gleich Googleearth, daher
duerfte obiges kommen.
Ich verstehe aber auch nicht warum man das auf seinem privaten Rechner
als root installieren will/muss. Genausogut gehts nach
$HOME/googleearth.
