Tja, bei meinem AMD64 gehts gar nicht:-( Als User bekomme ich:
dirk@rechner:~$ ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin

The setup program seems to have failed on amd64
Fatal error, installer failed to run at all!
Und als root per su:
root@rechner:/home/dirk# ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin

You don't see to be running an X server (no DISPLAY set).
Google Earth and its installer both require X11.
