Ich habe sowas mit "php5" und "netpbm" auch auf
meinem (non-public) Server realisiert.

Keine CGI's aber eine 100% php5 driven Website.

Aufgrund der unendlichen importformate bei "netpbm",
gibt es so gut wie keine andere Alternative.
