Soweit war ich auch schon. Ich hatte auf der Asus-Seite nachgeschaut.
Bei der Beschreibung des Boards hab ich Realtek und 3Com gefunden, aber
keine genaue Chip-Beschreibung. Auf der 3Com-Seite habe ich nirgends
etwas zu einem 3C920 gefunden. Also mal bei NVidia geschaut. Wie nicht
anders erwartet einen Linuxtreiber für Nforce2 gefunden und mal ein
vorcompiliertes rpm (für Mandrake) gezogen und dort reingeschaut.
Gefunden habe ich dort (u.a.) nvnet.o und nvaudio.o. Laut Docu soll der
Treiber für das Netzwerk zuständig sein. Ich zitiere jetzt mal aus der
Docu:

Sprich, du musst den ganzen Bettel selber machen, nachdem du die Modules
compiliert und installiert hast.

Wenn du jetzt noch schreiben könntest, wie der Treiber zickt, könnte man
dir dort auch helfen. Ich habe kein Board mit diesem Chipsatz, kann es
also selber nicht ausprobieren. Aus meiner Zeit mit NVidia-Grafikkarten
weiss ich aber, dass die NVidia-Treiber sehr unproblematisch sind.
