cups ist auf W95 Client nicht sichtbar (immer noch nicht)



Hallo Mailingliste,

ich hatte das Thema schon einmal hier gemailt. Bisher habe ich jedoch
noch nicht den entscheidenden Tipp gefunden.

Auf meinem Debian 3.0 (Woddy) rechner habe ich folgende Pakete
installiert:

* cupsys (1.1.14-2)
* cupsys-client (1.1.14-2)
* cupsys-pstoraster (1.1.14-2)
* cupsys-bsd (1.1.14-2)
* libcupsys2 (1.1.14-2)
* kdelibs3-cups (2.2.2-5)
* samba (2.2.2-12)
* samba-common (2.2.2-12)
* samba-doc (2.2.2-12)

Auf Cups habe ich per Browser einen Drucker angefügt. Auf dem
Debian-Rechner kann ich auch auf dem Drucker drucken.

In der /etc/smb/smb.conf habe ich bereits alle möglichen gemailten
Kombinationen ausprobiert. Gem. der Cups-Dokumentation müßte allerdings

ausreichen.

Wenn ich "testparm" eingebe kommt keine Fehlermeldung. Es kommt aber

printcap name = /etc/printcap

Diese Datei besteht, ist jedoch vollständig leer. Bei der Installation
wurde noch eine /etc/printcap.cups angelegt, die "LaserJet:" enthält.
Wenn ich diese allerdings umbenenne geht auch nicht mehr.
