Ich hatte hier auch schon mal nach Applixware gefragt, aber keine Antworten
erhalten (ich hatte mal überlegt, das Produkt zu kaufen). Schau mal in das
Debian-user Liste Archiv (Ende Oktober 97)
Hier ist eineige andere Info, die ich aus verschiedenen Quellen habe:

I have installed Applixware from RedHat on two debian systems. The best
way might be to just create the directories and copy the files. The
overwhemling bulk of the Applixware files all go into a directory tree
rooted at "opt".
I have not made a great deal of use of the product however (I use an
Amiga for most all wordprocessing/DTP). As for MSWord files, Applixware
has the same sort of problem that all other software has with M$ junk in
that Micro$loth is a moving target -- they appear to intentionally
produce incompatible changes in their file formats for the sole purpose
of breaking non-Micro$sloth applications). BTW - Applixware does not
'break' but then I usually can not handle the latest and "greatest" MS
junk.

Applixware will run with any flavor of Linux- However, for best results, you
should always use Red Hat Linux ;)
