I changed the script to create absolute links
/usr/local/shar/temxf/fonts/tfm/public/lm/ec-$font.tfm
->
/usr/share/texmf/fonts/tfm/public/lm/ec-$font.tfm
Why shouldn't this work? These are absolute links now.
Same with the map file. Therefore the comment
# adjust this as needed
TEXMFLOCAL=/usr/local/share/texmf
is set if someone doesnot have TEXMFLOCAL.
This script will NOT be run from the packaging system, the admin has to
do it by himself.
