TeX Live has it in tl-lang-polish. Looks like the right place to me.

If sans serif section headings is the only advantage, then one is better
of with a KOMA Script class, memoir.cls, or some package like titlesec
or sectsty.

There is a special package in TeX Live for classes for certain journals
(texlive-publishers), which also includes aguplus.

Debian is the first to try tetex-texlive coexistance. Wrt to possible
transitions, the future is still unclear.
