I'm not completely through it, but one thing I already found:

+ read file
++ basename /etc/texmf/updmap.d/10my-map.cfg
++ dirname /etc/texmf/updmap.d/10my-map.cfg

Can you send us this file?  And can you tell us where the map files are
that it references?
