Don't know. We could file a (whishlist) bug against it, but then the
manpage says it is deprecated, and dh_install should be used
instead. Which we won't do before sarge is released.

Yes. This ol' bug.

Let's summarize:

- On Branden's system, there's a whole lot of mess. The
  should-be-symlink /usr/share/texmf/web2c/ is a directory (still
interested in ls -l), and there are a leftover files from
  tetex-extra_1.0.2

- I also had the same leftover files.

- We don't have an idea how this could come.

How should we proceed? One idea I had was to ask in a debian-user*
mailinglist whether anybody else has these leftover files. Perhaps we
can find a pattern how they arise.

On the other hand, this does _not_ occur when one upgrades from woody to
sarge or sid. Most likely the problem was in some older version after
woody. Therefore, I think this bug is no justification for preventing
tetex-bin entering into testing, and I suggest downgrading the severity
to important.

What do you think!
