Hi, the debian tetex base package has low 'hash size' and 'pool size' values in /etc/texmf/texmf.cnf. I'm not sure if these values are default in tex distributions, but they must be changed after every debian updates for large .tex documents processing. Setting higher values for the 'pool_size' and 'hash_extra' variable in texmf.cnf would do the trick. Regards, Emmanuel
