Ok, but that i need to do at hand ;(

Ok so i've done what you said and it appears that 5 files in the texmf.d
where old vesrion of the config that update packages doesn't have
overwriten: i did the following
 mv 05TeXMF.cnf.dpkg-dist 05TeXMF.cnf
 mv 45TeXinputs.cnf.dpkg-dist 45TeXinputs.cnf
 mv 85Misc.cnf.dpkg-dist 85Misc.cnf
 mv 95NonPath.cnf.dpkg-dist 95NonPath.cnf
 mv 75DviPS.cnf.dpkg-dist 75DviPS.cnf
 update-texmf

and everything went fine since. Thanks to you.

Maybe it was the installation of the unstable tetex on a testing distro
? (via apt-get -t unstable install tetex-.*)
