More precisely, $ps_to_pk -t "$NAME" only checks
if $ps_to_pk can find $NAME in map files.

So I suspect that you added extra entry for TrueType font
to some map file (psfonts.map?).

On the other hands, ttf2pk seems to read ttfonts.map
and you seemed to succeed with ttf2pk so I guess ttfonts.map
also contains the entry for TrueType font.

If my guess is right, to remove extra entry from psfonts.map
(or similar) didn't fix the problem?

If my guess is wrong, please explain your problem more
precisely or clearly.
