Re: transition to lenny stable

Hi there, i have some questions about the dynamics of a testing-to-stable transition.

Whenever lenny be stable, it will be the most attractive Debian release to use (stable and actualized). So i will use it for a while. Meantime, will squeeze be a buggy release ? In other words, the new testing releases are buggy for a while, until it gets more stable ? Or all testing releases are similar (about
stability) at any moment ?
So, after a new stable release is launched, how many time it takes to get obsolete and thus less attractive
for desktop users ?
I hope to be clear because my english is not ver good :(

As I understand it, as lenny becomes stable, it will be updated rarely, and mainly for security updates. So you will want to stay with it for a couple of months (is all the time to stay there), and then move back to testing. Stable is used for stability, of course, not for being the best choice for your apps. There will be many desirable things in testing that will never be added to stable, and you will want to be able to get them.
