transition to lenny stable

Hi there, i have some questions about the dynamics of a testing-to-stable transition.

Whenever lenny be stable, it will be the most attractive Debian release to use (stable and actualized).
So i will use it for a while. Meantime, will squeeze be a buggy release ? In other words, the new testing
releases are buggy for a while, until it gets more stable ? Or all testing releases are similar (about
stability) at any moment ?
So, after a new stable release is launched, how many time it takes to get obsolete and thus less attractive
for desktop users ?
I hope to be clear because my english is not ver good :(
