/etc/silo.conf appears to be valid
/mnt/backup1 has been created. on reboot, i now see:

i also tried:
boot linux
boot disk0
boot disk0 linux
boot disk0:3 linux
all yield "Fast Data Access MMU Miss"
i ran 'reset-all' at ok. same 'Fast Data Access MMU Miss' message.
