AW: Sarge on Sun Ultra 60
Hi Hakan,
I am using a
"Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 r0a "Sarge" - Official sparc Binary-1 (20050607)"
to boot on my U60. It works like a charm. No problems at all. I have an original SUN U60 UPA/PCI (2 x UltraSPARC-II 360MHz). Open Prom release 3.23. 512MByte installed memory.
The controller driver loaded is the sym53c8xx_2. No issues here. The cdrom is jumpered on SCSI-id 6.
So, if you have a similar machine you might want to check SCSI-bus termination or you have a hardware problem on your device.
