Well, I run this sparc 5 pretty much 18 hours a day doing test installs, and sometimes they succeed and sometimes not, and AFAIK the inittab should be the same for all of these installs, although I haven't verified that yet. So I guess it's valid, and sometimes reloading it somehow leads to this problem anyway.. -- see shy jo
