Hmmm. Thanks, I forgot about that, I just learned it a few days ago from
reading this mailing list. Does the bootup firmware set the 'best'
videomode and frequency? (i.e. how does it choose the frequency?)

There's a testing package named swf-player, but from the README included,
it has no user script support, and no interaction support, so it's nearly
useless.
