I grabbed 2.4.18 from kernel.org, built it, and it ran fine for 19 hours; then it hung with the usual messages about both CPUs hanging in spinlock that I've already seen with earlier 2.4 kernels (but the earlier ones didn't survive for so long). the box is a SS10 with 2 CPUs, 128 MB RAM and 3 scsi disks that does nothing besides running INN with moderate load. cm. -- Actually, I found New Zealanders to be the most akin to Canadians. They also feel the looming presense of a next door neighbour country full of loud, excessively happy and somewhat simple people, and are a little intimidated by it. -- Paul Tomblin
