Re: Configure tape drive ?

Hi,

Lets try again,

There is no specific order how in which one has to connect SCSI-devices.
In your case, i wound try the next:
-powerdown all devices (SCSI is NOT (!) hot-plugable
-to disconnect all external devices EXCEPT the tape-drive
-connect tape directly to Sparcstation
-don't forget the terminator
-powerup tapedrive
-powerup sun
-run probe-scsi again

There is a maximum length of the scsi-cable defined. Perhaps that is the
problem.
Most people forget that the maximum length is INCLUDED internal
cable-length.
