Only to some people - many people do not (need to) install libraries
from backports.org.

Testing, with its long lasting RC bugs?  Maybe you should ask the
backports people for statistics about downloads of Openoffice.org
packages.  There are obviously a lot of people who do want to use
backports.

To me it seems it's you who is whining about how bad backports is, no
one else...
