This is a very old version. We're just uploaing 1.0.21. Well if you
upgrade to at least squeeze (testing) xour chip should be recognized
from the kernel.

The correct driver for your tumbler should be snd-powermac. Do as
root:
# echo snd-powermac >> /etc/modules
# reboot.
