Re: NFS mounts: access rights problem

Hi Aníbal

On 27 Feb, this message from Aníbal Monsalve Salazar echoed through
cyberspace:
> What versions are you using on the server and client?

Server: 1:1.0.10-6+etch.1
Client: 1:1.1.4-1 (upgraded from 1:1.1.2-6lenny1 on 20090220)

Yes, that is the version that exhibits the problem.

Aha... Missed that one because it is archived.

My client is running kernel 2.6.15, so using legacy mount command.
/proc/mounts doesn't show the sec= status. "mount" only shows the option
that I gave to the mount command, but doesn't show the sec= in effect if
I provide none. So I have found no way to verify what sec= is in effect.

In other words, the problem reported in #492970 is still present:

mount.nfs from nfs-utils 1.1.4-1 does not work on kernels with legacy
nfs mount interface.

New bug report?

Thanks, and cheers

Michel
