I have this problem with mine too... it typically happens when the
machine is hot, not when it was just booted though.

No idea ... I've tried playing around with various values concerning the
TMDS controller without success so far... If it's fixable in software, I
hope they'll do a firmware update to fix it at the OF level. If they
don't, I'll have to do register dumps in OS X to check what's up ... but
I'm afraid it might be worse than that...

In my case, it happens with a brand new Apple monitor so I'll try to get
it replaced.
