Sure thing... I'm running the benh-2.6.3 kernel, as well as XF86Config, that satadrupramanik so kindly provided on his site. It appears that he has the mouse input set up like you say /dev/input/mice with IMPS/2 protocol. I changedthings aroud a little bit trying to get USB to work, and that's when itscrewed up. I still have minimal modules loaded, though I'm not sure exactly how to find out all that I have loaded. I'm still newb, but advancing slowly.Quoting Brad Boyer <flar@allandria.com>:On Thu, Feb 26, 2004 at 10:11:22PM -0600, dotto@uchicago.edu wrote:OK, tried switching my XF86Config-4 to /dev/input/mice, and the trackpadwentcrazy (I would touch it and it would shoot to the top of the screen andstaythere). Haven't gotten any response from my USB mouse yet. Any other suggestions? What did you have it using before? If you had it set to /dev/adbmouse, that uses a different protocol (busmouse). The /dev/input/mice device uses the imps/2 protocol. Perhaps you should give us a little more info, such as what the mouse section from your old XF86Config. Also what kernel you are using, and what modules are loaded. Brad Boyer flar@allandria.com-- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-powerpc-request@lists.debian.orgwith a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
