I was able to boot in MacOSX. There I put a monolithic compiled kernel
to macosx root-directory (how to boot from macosx and what you need is
explained very well by Matthias Schmidt at
	http://mathematik.uni-marburg.de/~mschmidt/apple/
)

I have a second debian-box, where I could compile the kernel and copied it to MacOSX afterwards to proceed as suggested by Matthias.

I have that kernel somewhere. So if you have no possibility to download and compile I can provide it provided you don't shy a big kernel coming by email compiled by anybody ... ;)

I had no success with bootable cd - probably because of the 'aged' kernel, probably it wouldn't have worked anyway ?-/

Feeling with you ....
