Make sure that trackpad runs as root. Also, make sure that you don't
have anything else that can do the opposite, for instance pbbuttons;
if you use pbbuttons, /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf should contain:
tpmode = notap
If you haven't found the problem, you can still use strace in both
cases and see the differences.
