This looks like a Konqueror bug to me. I'll guess
that autofs is partially hiding things on purpose,
to avoid spinning up disks or mounting what might
be thousands of NFS exports.

While you're reporting bugs...

The throw-disk-in-trash interface is pure evil.
That, if anything, should pop up a dialog box
that offers to wipe the disk and/or create a
new filesystem.

It would be more logical to drag the disk off
the edge of the screen to eject it.
