If you wait around 3 or 4 minutes, it may go on. When you use that
(Mac) method of booting, it searches for an Ethernet boot image.
If you executed the Make Hard Disk Bootable step during the installation,
and had created a bootstrap partition earlier, then you don't need to
hold Alt. It should boot straight into linux.
You can set up options on the boot menu for Mac OS or other systems
(man yaboot.conf or see the yaboot HOWTO at penguinppc.org).

Does the bootstrap partition precede the OSX partition in the map?
You may need to use the mac-fdisk r command to make it do so.
