Both as modules here, and it works fine AFAICT.

That option isn't needed anymore. As Tom Rini pointed out when you (or
someone else, don't remember exactly) brought this up earlier, all you
need is

alias scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi

in a file in /etc/modutils/ and then run update-modules.
