well, it keeps going from bad to worse. I've tried
to get your tree running, then I tried customized
variants of bitkeeper and of paulus (all of 2.4.3
or 2.4.4pre versions), and to the end I got some
precompiled kernels of bk and paulus and it
keeps the same:

Any kernel having version >= 2.4.3 does not want
to boot from BootX 1.2.2 on my PowerBook 2400.

I'll now try to get quik up and running to see
whether it's just a PB2400 problem. However, I
wonder if anyone else has a kernel >= 2.4.3
running on a Powerbook 2400 or 3400 (or anything
comparable).

Thanks, bye
Philipp
