Kernel build problem.

I am having problems trying to build a 2.4 kernel. I can and have built many
2.2 kernels and that works fine. However attempts to build the 2.4 kernel
fail after I do make vmlinux. I have tried test 10 and test 12 and it does
the same thing on both my powerpc machines (one is a B&W G3 running potato
and one is an 8500 running woody)

On test 10 it dies in this spot each time with the following output:

gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2
-fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strict-aliasing -D__powerpc__ -fsigned-char
-msoft-float -pipe -ffixed-r2 -Wno-uninitialized -mmultiple -mstring -c
-o binfmt_script.o binfmt_script.c
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2
-fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strict-aliasing -D__powerpc__ -fsigned-char
-msoft-float -pipe -ffixed-r2 -Wno-uninitialized -mmultiple -mstring -c
-o binfmt_elf.o binfmt_elf.c
binfmt_elf.c: In function `create_elf_tables':
binfmt_elf.c:166: `CLOCKS_PER_SEC' undeclared (first use in this function)
binfmt_elf.c:166: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
binfmt_elf.c:166: for each function it appears in.)
make[2]: *** [binfmt_elf.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux/fs'
make[1]: *** [first_rule] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux/fs'
make: *** [_dir_fs] Error 2

Am I missing something obvious?
