That will not work, non running the compatibilty script will end in a
non-djb-compliant binary installation, and so the binary package is not
distributable.

Doesn't work because of debian's Filesystem Hierarchy Standard.

What a pity not having sensible packages of djb software in debian (e.g.
see bind's youngest security problems).
