Re: policy violation and bug reports.
Hi,
Backing up .var as is a whole different ball game from backing
up /var and /etc:
______________________________________________________________________
__> df /var /var/spool/mirror/
Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/hdd5 1014781 177525 784834 18% /var
/dev/hdd6 1014781 699352 263007 73% /var/spool/mirror
__> du -s /etc
5663 /etc
900M vs 5.5M.

I would agree wth you that we should talk about lambdamoo and
dosemu, just because of the sheer size of the files involved. Are
these files confffiles in the real sense? or are they really data
files? If they are dat files, can we come up with a scheme that
accomplishes what we want within the framework of policy? )like not
having the files in packages, but manipulated by postinst.
I do not think that that is too much to ask (the postinst is
rather simple to write)
I still think that game score files should not be conffiles.
